What’s the difference?
220lb weight capacity unit has 2 lifting actuators: For countertops between 23.6” to 94.7” long
330lb weight capacity unit has 3 lifting actuators: For countertops between 55.2” and 94.7” long
*If your counter is granite or any type of stone, or has a cooktop or sink, select 330lbs.
(depth of countertop must be between 20.08” and 27.56”)
Indicate the location of the sink and/or cooktop on your drawing. You must leave at least 2.76” inches from the back and side edges of the worktop to the cut-out for the sink or cooktop so it doesn’t collide with the lifting units support arms, wall frame or actuators. Make sure that there are no outlets installed below the worktop, any higher than 19.69” above the floor or on the wall above the worktop in the range it will be adjusting.
Choose between 7.87” and 11.81"
We recommend adding a fascia along the front edge and sides of your countertop. This fascia, typically made from wood or the same material as the countertop, is a vertical edge plate fitted to the underside of the worktop. It hides electrical installations and provides a mounting point for safety bars. These bars are installed on the bottom edge of the fascia to prevent the countertop from moving downward when resistance is detected.
Here are some important points:
We recommend the use of safety bars. They detect an object and stop the downward movement of the countertop. These will guard against incidents leading to material damage or personal injury. Safety bars are mounted to the bottom edge of the fascia.
See Installation Guide for complete switch mounting instructions.
A separate Design Guide form must be filled out for each lifting unit. Adjacent countertops will require interconnection of safety to avoid crushing injuries.
